Of course many people were waiting for this and you guys deserve this so there will be a DW7 empires, frankly it wasn’t actually officially announced be Tecmo Koei as of yet however , the popular Japanese Gaming Magazine Famitsu will have a page/article dedicated to Shin Sangoku Musou 6 Empires,…
It’s a PS3 exclusive in Japan. Xbox isn’t very popular there, and DW7 itself was a PS3 exclusive there.
No word on an overseas announcement but since it’s being released in September in Japan, overseas release could be around the same time, like DW7 was, or it could be a couple of months later like DW7XL. Only time and Chin will tell.
And Famitsu tends to announce games in general, so most game announcements will come via it instead of an official Koei press release or anything. Famitsu IS the official Koei announcement, and Koei will then open up the website and updates will be via both Fami and the website. It’s been like that for most, if not all, of Koei’s games in the past.
DW7 Empires Confirmed
Shin Sangokumusou 6 Empires (DW7 Empires) will be out for PS3 in September in Japan.
New add: Xu Shu(?) I think that’s his name, but I am terribad with kanji.
According to KW, his weapon is a Jijian but it’s conflicting as to what that actually IS at this time.
Weapon switching is still in.
Website will likely go live tomorrow, so clearer pictures and info will be available then!

Or she can be Okatsu. I will not be surprised if the 3 new characters are for the Tokugawa clan. As the 3 new characters in DW7:XL who were all of Wei. It looks like Takatora is more for the Azai than for the Tokugawa, according to the information translated from Famitsu.
And with the confirmation of a new Masamune centric stage, that increases the chance that it’s for the new female character, unless they tweak it to include either of the men.
Either way, we’ll just have to wait and see.
(also the DW and SW teams are different, so the decision of one team doesn’t necessarily mean anything to the other)

The female character if either Neko or Mego, I'm sure of that! I hope so! I would love for Masamune to get a “real” retainer. As much as I love him and Magoichi, there’s no one really devoted to Masamune himself like others have.
